Nánási Portéka
The next event was in August, this time in Tasnád and Sződemeter, where three days were dedicated to honor Ferenc Kölcsey, the writer of the Hungarian National Anthem. There were many interesting programs and events during this weekend to build a closer relationship between the communities and to keep the traditions and sense of belonging together alive.
The next events were the Diószegi Days to honor the great theological professor and his work in cultivating the land and soul given to us by God. The theme of this event was to raise awareness to the importance of traditions and values passed down from generation to generation.
In October, Tasnád was the host of the day of sisterhood between the two reformed churches. This was also the closing event of the project, where there was time to discuss all the experiences and look back at all the great opportunities for the two communities to work together and grow. It was not only important to emphasize the significance of the relationship and partnership of Hajdúnánás and Tasnád, but the getting to know the Transylvanian cultural traditions and values was one of the greatest achievements of the whole project.
Besides all the cultural events, there were a number of professional programs as well. There were courses for young people interested in taking photos and video making; a conference about the importance of local products made by local farmers and producers (Nánási Portéka); a course for youth leaders; and a course for those who want to learn more about gardening, fruit production and winery.
